Choosing Bathtubs & Cabins

An acrylic bath is lighter, easier to install and holds heat better than steel, with a painted steel cradle underneath carrying the weight. Acrylic thickness matters: 5 mm and above stands up to daily use. An 8 mm toughened glass enclosure is heavier and more stable than 6 mm, and an anti-limescale coating reduces hard-water spotting. The standard rectangular bath is 1700 × 700 mm.
