Choosing Basins & Washbasins

Basin choice comes down to bathroom size and mounting type. A wall-hung basin with a semi-pedestal hides the pipework and makes a small bathroom feel larger. A countertop vessel looks modern but needs a tall mixer, around 300 mm, to clear the bowl. An undermount basin is easier to clean because there is no rim. The number of tap holes — one or three — must be decided before buying, since it cannot be changed later.
